Frequently Asked Questions *

  • Our packages start from a published guide price, but the full cost depends on what you need from us and how your day is shaped. Every wedding is different, so we keep things flexible rather than locking couples into something that doesn’t quite fit. Get in touch and we’ll talk through the options and share our full pricing straight away.

  • Documentary and editorial. We follow the day as it actually unfolds rather than engineering it, which means the moments you get back are real ones. We have a strong eye for light and we shoot cinematically without making things feel staged or posed.

  • A signed contract and a booking deposit confirms your date and takes it off the market. Until both are in place the date stays available, so if you’re keen we’d always suggest moving sooner rather than later, particularly for peak summer Saturdays.

  • We aim to deliver your wedding photographs within six to eight weeks and your film within ten to twelve weeks of your wedding day. We never rush the editing process because the quality of the finished work matters more to us than a quick turnaround.

  • It genuinely doesn’t need to be, and it’s probably the thing couples worry about most before working with us. We make even the most camera shy people feel relaxed and confident enough to forget we’re there at all. The couples who tell us they’re awkward in photos are usually the ones who surprise themselves most when they see the results.

  • It depends on what you book, but here’s what’s included across our packages. Photography couples receive a full gallery of edited images delivered via a private online gallery, with a sneak peek turned around within the first few days. Film couples receive a cinematic highlight film shot across multiple cameras, with aerial drone footage included where possible. Book both and you get everything together. All packages also come with the option to add documentary content, short-form vertical videos shot on iPhone and edited for social media, so you can share something that actually looks and feels like your wedding while it still feels fresh. Further down the line there are also options to add prints and albums. Everything is delivered in our style and presented in a way that’s easy to view, share and come back to whenever you want.

  • We cover everything from getting ready in the morning through to the dancefloor in the evening. Nothing significant gets missed and you never have to think about where we are or what we’re capturing.

  • We back up all files on location and again as soon as we’re home. Your wedding day cannot be reshot, so protecting the footage from the moment we capture it is something we’re meticulous about.

  • Yes, always. Cash and Joel shoot together as a team on every wedding we take on. That means two perspectives, two sets of eyes and a far fuller record of the day than a single photographer or videographer can give you on their own. It also means the photography and film feel cohesive because they’re created by the same team with the same eye, not two separate suppliers who haven’t worked together before. For larger events where extra coverage is needed, we can also bring in additional trusted photographers and videographers from our network to make sure nothing gets missed.

  • In the extremely unlikely event that one of us couldn’t make it, we have a trusted network of professional photographers and videographers we work alongside and would call on immediately. You would never be left without cover and we would handle everything on our end.

  • Absolutely, and we’d encourage it, though you don’t need to come with a list prepared. We know what we’re doing and we’ll make sure nothing important gets missed. That said, the more you share the better, whether that’s family groups, pets you want included, a veil shot you’ve seen and loved, or something a bit more out there. We’ve worked with confetti exits, sparkler sendoffs, sparklers spelling out words, drone reveals, golden hour portraits in unexpected locations, veil shots, and portraits with dogs, cats and horses. If you’ve got an idea, it’s always welcome. Some of our favourite shots have come from couples who pushed us somewhere new.

  • Yes to both. We carry full public liability insurance and all of our camera, lens and audio equipment is professional spec. Most venues ask for confirmation of insurance before the day and we provide that without any issue.

  • Yes, and we think it’s important that you can. Highlights are easy to make look good. A full gallery shows you the consistency of the work across an entire day, which is what you’re actually buying. Just ask and we’ll share some with you.

  • We genuinely enjoy it. Whether it’s somewhere well known like Galgorm Resort in Ballymena, the Titanic Hotel in Belfast or Drenagh Estate in Limavady, or a venue we’ve never set foot in, our approach doesn’t change. Where possible we like to visit venues we haven’t shot at before ahead of the day, scoping out the light, the layout and the best spots before we ever arrive with a couple. Some of our favourite work has come from venues we’d never visited before.

  • Yes. Booking both with us means everything is coordinated from a single team who work together every week. There’s no friction between a photographer and a separate videographer who haven’t met before, and the finished work reflects that because the two outputs feel like they genuinely belong together.

  • Most couples book us between twelve and eighteen months ahead, particularly for summer Saturdays which tend to go earliest. That said, we do occasionally have availability at shorter notice so it’s always worth getting in touch even if your date feels close.

  • We photograph and film all sorts of occasions. Engagement shoots, family sessions, commercial work, brand shoots, events and more. If you’ve got something in mind that doesn’t fit neatly into a category, just get in touch and we’ll talk it through.

  • The thing that comes up most consistently is how relaxed people felt on the day and how much that surprised them. People tell us they forgot we were there, that they felt completely at ease in a way they didn’t expect, and that when they saw the photographs and films back they couldn’t believe it was them. You can read more from our couples on our Google reviews and across our website.

  • You don’t need both, but most couples who choose just one tell us afterwards they wish they’d had the other. Photography and film capture your day in completely different ways. Photos give you the still moments, the details, the expressions. Film gives you the sound of the room, the words spoken, the way the whole day moved and felt. Together they tell the full story in a way that neither can on its own. We offer photography on its own, film on its own, or both together, and whichever you choose you’re getting the same level of care and the same standard of work from us.

  • The most important thing is that you connect with the people behind the camera. You’ll spend more time with your photographer and videographer than almost anyone else on your wedding day, so it matters that you actually like them and feel at ease around them. Beyond that, look at full galleries rather than just highlights, make sure their style genuinely matches what you’re drawn to, and check that they’re clear and open about pricing and what’s included. If something feels right when you speak to them, it usually is.

  • Wear something you feel genuinely good in rather than something that just looks right on paper. Comfort makes a bigger difference than you’d think because the more relaxed you are the better everything looks. Co-ordinating loosely with your partner works well without being too matching. Avoid anything too busy or heavily branded. Beyond that, bring a second outfit if you want variety and don’t overthink it. We’ll guide you on the day and the location does a lot of the work anyway.

  • Ask whatever you need to feel confident. No question is too small and nothing is off limits. The things most couples want to know before booking are around pricing and what’s included, turnaround times, what happens on the day and how we work, and what the process looks like from enquiry through to delivery. If you’re not sure where to start, just get in touch and we’ll walk you through everything. A good conversation before you book makes the whole experience better for everyone.

  • Yes and we love them. We’ve shot weddings across Ireland, the UK and further afield, and travelling for a wedding is something we genuinely enjoy. If you’re planning something abroad or somewhere further from home, get in touch early so we can talk through travel, logistics and how we’d make it work. Distance has never stopped us yet.

  • Documentary wedding photography is about capturing your day as it actually happens rather than directing it. No posed group shots every five minutes, no stopping the day to set up shots. Instead we stay close, watch carefully and catch the moments as they unfold naturally, the laughter, the tears, the quiet in between. The result is a set of images that genuinely reflects how your day felt rather than how it was staged to look.

  • A cinematic wedding film is a fully edited film of your day that feels closer to something you’d watch than a traditional wedding video. It’s built around the atmosphere, the emotion and the flow of the day rather than just footage of events in order. The sound of the room, the words you said, the music, the movement, all of it comes together into something you’ll want to watch again and again.

  • Yes, where possible. Aerial footage adds a completely different dimension to a wedding film, particularly at venues with beautiful grounds, coastline or countryside around them. We include drone coverage across our film packages where conditions and venue permissions allow, so it’s worth mentioning your venue early so we can confirm what’s possible on the day.

  • Yes and we’d really encourage them, especially if you’re a bit camera shy. An engagement shoot gives us a chance to get to know each other properly before the wedding day, and it gives you a chance to get comfortable in front of the camera in a relaxed setting with no pressure. The difference it makes on the wedding day itself is noticeable every time. Couples who’ve done a shoot with us beforehand are visibly more at ease, and it shows in the photographs.

  • Absolutely. If there’s a specific spot at the venue you love, a view you want to be in front of, or somewhere nearby you’ve had in mind, tell us and we’ll make it work. We’ll also suggest locations based on what we know about the venue and where the light is likely to be best at that time of day. It’s always a collaboration and the more you share with us beforehand the better placed we are to get exactly what you’re looking for.

  • Northern Ireland is our home territory and where the bulk of our work is based. County Down and Belfast are where we shoot most often, and we know venues like Belfast Castle, Belfast City Hall, Larchfield Estate, the Carriage Rooms at Montalto, Orange Tree House on Strangford Lough, Killeavy Castle in Newry, Finnebrogue Woods near Downpatrick and the Merchant Hotel well. Belfast city centre also has some brilliant portrait spots we love working with, from the Cathedral Quarter and the Titanic Quarter through to the streets and architecture around the city itself. We also cover County Antrim, County Fermanagh, County Armagh, the North Coast, Derry and Donegal, along with border counties in the Republic. Beyond that we travel anywhere across Ireland, Great Britain and to destination weddings worldwide. If your venue isn’t on that list, it doesn’t matter. We cover weddings anywhere and we enjoy working somewhere new.
